20th Annual Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards
Bethesda’s art world is thriving and beautiful! Right at The Barrett at Chevy Chase, in fact, the celebration of artwork is apparent. With curated artwork around the entire building! The Barret at Chevy Chase wants you to live in artistry every day.
The Trawick Prize is an annual regional Contemporary Arts Award that was founded by Carol Trawick. This juried art competition and exhibition was established in 2003.
The top winners receive a total of $14,000 in prize money, “Best in Show” award recipients are awarded $10,000, Second Place receives $2,000 and Third Place receives $1,000. Then a “young artist” who is under thirty, is awarded with $1,000.
The finalists for the Trawick Prize will have their works on display between September 8th through October 2nd. Located in downtown Bethesda at Gallery B, at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue in Suite E. The Gallery is located just two blocks from the Bethesda Metro Station and parking is available in the public lot on Woodmont Avenue.
The Trawick Prize Gallery Hours range from Thursdays through Saturdays from 12 noon until 5 pm, and Sundays from 11 am until 4 pm.
