The annual Cherry Blossom Festival is back in person to celebrate its 110th anniversary. There has never been a better time to appreciate the beauty of Washington D.C. than at the start of the spring season! Enjoy four weeks, from March 20th through April 17th, of food, fun, and culture. The Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the gift of 3,000 cherry trees from the major of Tokyo in 1912, to Washington D.C. The Festival celebrates the enduring friendship between the people of Japan and the United States. Currently, the festival welcomes over 1.5 million people to enjoy diverse and creative programming promoting traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit.
