Slice the Ice at the Rockville Ice Skating Rink

Get some friends together and head over to Rockville Town Center to enjoy a lap or two around the Rockville Ice Skating Rink! This beloved annual activity has returned for the 2021-2022 season, bringing with it ample opportunities for holiday cheer and outdoor exercise.

If your skills are a little rusty, the rink offers lessons so you can brush up on your skating skills before hitting the ice. Instruction is also available for hockey players and figure skaters of all ages via adult group lessons and/or private one-on-ones with the instructor. And, if you’re looking to celebrate a fun event like a birthday party at the rink, you can book a package deal for large groups at $15 per skater and a $90 deposit to reserve the date and time you want to schedule with them. The overall package includes admission, skate rental, and a table for your party to relax when you’re not on the ice. 

Pro tip: Arrive around dusk! That’s when the rink is illuminated by fun colored lighting and the ambient glow of string lights on the trees surrounding the rink. It’s the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit near your apartment. Just be sure to reserve your skating time in advance.
